I am Angel Mancilla (aka olé dom) and I began liking electronic music less than two years ago when I first started DJing. I began collecting lots of disco house/nu-disco records, then started liking some garage and current tech. These last couple of months, however, I began really digging for records trying to look for the sound I want to be known for. This mix identifies part of what I am about at the moment and I only see my music taste develop even more. I struggle finding places to play given how new I am to the scene and also since I currently have not taken the music production route. I currently spin at a small speakeasy in La Jolla on the weekends playing mainly deep, soulful house music. My goals this year are to throw events with some of my talented friends, play at Sunday Sessions LA, record livestreams of talented local DJ's for my Youtube Page, and hopefully start producing my own music. Few of my friends are playing at this festival already so it would be nice to play alongside with them.
About the mix
This mix is a bit of what represents my sound: Weird, funky, loud. It has lots of early 2000 tech/electro, current electro/breaks/funk, and melodic vocals.
