Hugo Le Rouzo started out as a guitar player, playing in a band during high school. At 16, he discovered a love for electronic music and began attending raves. This passion continued into college, where he found DJing. Along with a group of college friends and other members of the San Diego community, he created the Afternoon Umbrella Friends. This collective became a venue for him to test different styles in front of crowds and discover his artistic identity. Hugo's sound is a dynamic blend of sultry, driving, dark, and psychedelic elements, and his style focuses on house, techno, dub, and and midtempo. It pulses with relentless, energy, keeping the dance floor moving while creating immersive soundscapes. Progressive elements ensure each track is a journey, evolving and transforming as it unfolds. By bending styles and genres, he pushes the boundaries of house and techno, integrating diverse influences to create a unique sonic experience that challenge expectations and invite exploration. Hugo is launching his first releases, and honing in to his studio as he develops his sound for upcoming releases to bring his music to more ears and more places.
