The FUNKHOUSIR project was born in 2022 and has grown into a dynamic force in electronic music. With a signature sound blending elements of Melodic Techno, Afro, Disco, and House, FUNKHOUSIR has built a reputation for crafting immersive dancefloor experiences. Never confined to a singular style, FUNKHOUSIR’s music showcases a fusion of diverse influences, leading to standout releases on labels like Clubview Records and Trust the Machine. His dedication to artistic exploration ensures each track carries a distinct, groove-driven identity. Beyond his work as a producer and DJ, FUNKHOUSIR is the founder of For Those Who Need House, a collective and event series dedicated to fostering community and pushing underground sounds. Derived from his passion for creating music and supporting artists, FUNKHOUSIR launched For Those Who Need Records (FTWNR)—a label dedicated to releasing cutting-edge house music and providing a platform for emerging talent. As label manager, FUNKHOUSIR curates a series of groundbreaking releases, further establishing FTWNR as a key player in the scene. FUNKHOUSIR has made a significant impact on the Los Angeles and San Diego music scenes with his Funkhousir & Friends series, regularly hosting events at Avenue in Pacific Beach and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang in LA. His high-energy sets have landed him performances at top venues and festivals, including Shabang, Umbrella Weekend, Yoon Fest, Bang Bang SD, Nova SD, Bloom, Parq Nightclub, FireHouse, and Rich’s. Looking ahead, 2025 is set to be a massive year, with a wave of new releases and projects on the horizon.
